First of all I
would like to say thank you for your interest in my prints! I am so pleased to
be painting and photographing in all of my spare time! I am having so much
fun doing my artwork.
I do all artwork, including
photography, paintings, printing, matting and framing myself. I do all printing in my digital darkroom.
Please
take note that some images are not be available in all sizes. "Mounted" prints
are attached at the corners of the paper with backing board, there is no mat on
top of the print. "Matted" prints have a backboard and a cut mat on top of the
print they are ready to frame.
Notecard packs
Sets of 2
cards of the same scene in a package with envelopes. There are no words inside
so that you can write your own . The cards come in a see-through sealed bag,
with the same image on both cards, my name and contact information is on the back of
each card.
Small
- Matted 5x7"
These prints are cut and
matted into a traditional 5x7"o.d. white mat (usually with a black core around
the opening). They are in a clear bag. These prints are cut to fit a 5x7"o.d.
frame (not included).
Small - Mounted 11x14"
Printed on 8.5 x 11"
paper, and mounted on 11x14" recycled backboard, all are signed open edition prints, not
available as Limited Editions. The image size is approximately 5x7", some
are larger depending upon the image. A mat will have to be cut to fit the image (not included).
Large "Open
Edition" Prints -
Large Archival Prints are printed
with archival inks on 13 x
19" paper, and mounted on 20x24" recycled matboard, all are
signed open edition prints.
*All of my prints are in
varying degrees of archival quality ranging from a minimum of 18 years (older
inks) up to 100 years (latest technology, papers & inks) with no color shift, as
long as they are handled properly as described below.
Limited edition prints
are all 80- 100+ years. Using the latest papers and inks available all prints
are printed in my digital darkroom, utilizing new archival technologies as they
arrive, giving you the best available prints that I can.
Large "Limited Edition" Prints
These
are some of my finest
quality prints and
are available as titled, signed and numbered with a certificate of
authenticity from the artist. Most of my paper editions are 250 prints, on
the web
pages each image shows the edition size of that print. They are
printed with archival pigment inks on 13 x 19" paper and mounted on 20x24"
recycled acid free matboard. When you order one of these Limited Edition prints,
you will receive the next number available in that edition. At this point
I do these limited edition prints exclusively on watercolor paper.
Framed Canvas
and Framed "Panoramic "Canvas
Limited Edition
prints
These are my best
quality prints, and are available as signed and numbered prints with a
certificate of authenticity from the artist. They are printed with pigment
inks on stretched canvas. The edition size is shown with the image below for
each print, the ordered print will be next available number available. They are
signed & numbered on the front, with the title on the back of the canvas.
They are shipped framed only ( I choose the frame that best works with the
artwork ). Canvas framed work is of varying sizes, at this point up to 26" in
length for panoramics. Each of these
prints has been specially treated with a clear coat that helps to promote
longevity of the print. Light resistance is 100+ years.
*Note about my limited
editions: All
limited editions are limited to the size of paper/canvas of that
edition. There are a small amount of open edition prints available in smaller
sizes and notecards, of the same image.
I have been selling these prints
at local shows and am having a great response to my paintings and photography.
According to Wilhelm Image Testing Research, each
of my limited editon prints has a light resistance rating of 80-100+ years with no color
shift, as long as they are matted and hung according to museum quality specifications
Handling &
Framing of your print
Your artwork comes
mounted with acid free tape and wrapped in acid free containers. When handling unmounted or unframed
prints, special care should be used not to bend the print. Your hands should be
dry and clean, so as not to smudge the work. All Artwork should be framed and
hung according to museum quality specifications. Use 100% acid free archival
quality material. Do not dry mount your print or use non-archival tape. All
artwork should be hung away from direct light and heat sources, also be sure not
to hang in a humid area. The print should not touch the glass of frame; using a
mat can do this. I suggest that the mat opening have a small white margin all
around the edge of the print, with a larger margin at the bottom for the
signature to show. To preserve your print to the maximum, use acid free
materials, and do not hang in direct sunlight, direct window light, or by any
heat sources, also be sure that the print does not touch the glass of the frame. These precautions apply to
any type prints.
The only "framed" prints
that I do are the Canvas prints. Treat them the same as above though they have
been coated. Be sure not to poke the canvas, as it could loosen the attachment
to the frame. Their light resistance is the same as the limited editions prints
on paper. All ratings will continue to improve as time goes by and materials
change. All of these are of longer life expectancy than any prints to date! This
is an exciting time for artists working with this medium.
