Laurie also a farmer as well as an artist, runs the farm along with her
husband, Jeff.
The Bellmore family grows flowers, a few mixed vegetables, pick-your
own strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries They grow all their products
alternatively, using no spray and low spray techniques, producing safe,
healthy products that they are proud to sell to their customers!
They have been growing berries for many
years, (their first crop 1979) and plan to continue for many more! With
strawberries always being their
specialty!
Later in the year they also produce fresh preservative free balsam fir
Christmas wreaths, roping & centerpieces, that are shipped throughout the
U.S.A. as great gifts for friends and relatives! Ordering begins in November for Christmas season
deliveries!
Their farming practices have become diversified over
their many years of learning to live from the land. Which means that they
do many different things throughout the year to produce a living for their
family. From one season to the next they are always busy, as it takes a
whole year or more to produce a single berry crop or months t grow their flowers!
In addition to farming in the summer, Jeff is a Master Maine Guide &
Captain, and Laurie produces her art in the winter months.
All of their products are available through the farmers markets that
they are involved with, Camden, Boothbay and Damariscotta.
